The Versatility Award Goes to..THE DENIM JACKET

This timeless piece wins the award for most versatile item of clothing, in my opinion... I don't think many men would consider the "little black dress" a must have in their wardrobe!

The denim jacket can go with floral, polkadots, solids, and stripes. It can go with dresses, collared shirts, t-shirts, hooded-sweatshirts...I mean, I think this was a perfect invention! By the way, it can be worn in practically any season...sharpa-lined jackets when layered with other nice items, can get you through some winters (depending on where you live)

Below are some personal favorite ways to wear the jacket. I tend to like the scarf and jacket look. I've included a pic of myself wearing a denim jacket put together with a printed scarf, white tee, black pants and...well, I put on these brown booties..however this outfit could go with: flats (they matched some mustard ones I have), knee high black boots, black clogs (heels), or tan oxford laceups...I could go on...

Exciteeeeed

Absolutely thrilled that Lykke Li is playing in my hometown! Love this Cute little Swedish Vixen <3. Click on the youtube links below for great videos

and...love this little street version of my favorite Lykke Li song:

Bundle Up in Your Favorite Coat!

I used to absolutely hate wearing coats! My mom would bundle me up in multiple layers in the winter to the point where I could barely bend my legs to run with the rest of the kids..I imagine this created a sense of feeling claustrophobic whenever I put on any type
of layers growing up.

However, over the past couple of years, the countless styles of coats that have become available has found me looking forward to the season change so I can shop for coats. I have interestingly been cured of this phobic feeling. Here are some of my favorite coats spotted at stores and online as well as photos of me in my favorite coat i've purchased for this fall/winter.

Falling for Fall 2011 - Color Alert: Burnt Sienna & Antiqued Gold

Well it has been two years since i've been posting. I'm saddened that although I continued to follow all my favorite fashion blogs, I've lost my followers! I absolutely love all the current fall colors. My style has fallen a little more casual. Ive been focusing more on colors than actual design..some posts will be a simple tee! I don't really like outfits that look too "put together". My fashion style is similar to my decorating style...eclectic. I like to buy individual pieces, some vintage..some new and put them together last minute. I don't like perfectly matched outfits much.

I typically browse mags or websites to get inspired before a shopping trip..but the other week I went shopping without doing so...I purchased two tops that stood out to me as far as color and come to find out, these colors are really "in" for the Fall.

Images are from Madewell.com (LOVE!!! this store and wish I could afford it!)

Below are images of tops I purchased in similar colors: I PROMISE to have better pictures on future posts..these were taken before I knew I was going to start blogging again! =-)
